My Story

A little bit about me - I have lived in the Mount Gambier region with my family for over 20 years having previously lived in NSW and QLD, so a little bit of travelling in my life.

I am grateful I have children as that was a significant journey in my life, along with other life challenges and experiences.

My favourite things to do are travel (there many towns in Australia I still want to see), craft/sewing, time with friends and of course my must have - COFFEE!! 

You may have noticed by the design of my website I am very enthusiastic about plants - I have quite a collection of indoor plants at home and I love to watch them grow which brings me a lot of enjoyment and is good for my wellbeing.

My journey to becoming a therapist was about discovering my passion. In my early career I was fortunate to have undertaken a support role working with young people, it was during this time I discovered my passion for working with people. This led me on a journey of study to achieve my goal of becoming a therapist because I recognized I had found my 'place', a place where I could support people as they journey through self-discovery, healing and growth.

I studied my Master of Counselling and Psychotherapy through ACAP  and my

Bachelor of Social Work through UniSA - University of South Australia.

I have loved both my Social Work and Counselling roles and always feel privileged to be given the opportunity to support and encourage people.  For a number of years my goal has been to begin a private practice and I am excited that this new journey has now begun for me.
